Professional Development

As a professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi fosters a cohort of polished and professional brothers. From the onset of the pledge process, we work hard to ensure each new member has the tools necessary to be successful in any business pursuit.

From resume building and LinkedIn workshops, to in-chapter speakers and interview skills, we host events that provide every member of our chapter with valuable insights to use in the working world. We also host networking events following Career Fair and Spring ICE to provide brothers with as many opportunities as possible with potential companies. There is no greater benefit, however, than in the day-to-day interactions between brothers--whether they're sharing interview tips or offering career path advice, they are always willing to help their friends reach a new level of professional excellence.

Philanthropy

Every semester, Alpha Kappa Psi offers many opportunities for our members to get involved, including volunteering at a local adult daycare in Oxford, as well as going on day trips to serve the Cincinnati community. This semester, we will be taking a three-day service trip to Indianapolis to engage in multiple different community service projects. Alpha Kappa Psi is also currently working on a long-term service project through Feed My Starving Children, a non-profit organization that uses the work of volunteers to pack meals for kids in nearly 70 countries around the world. Philanthropy is something our chapter strongly values, as we constantly seek new opportunities to make a difference.

Brotherhood

Alpha Kappa Psi extends well beyond being just a professional organization. We work hard to foster strong bonds of friendship between our brothers so that by the time they graduate, they have found some of their closest, lifelong friends from within our fraternity. As Jim Rohn wisely stated, “You’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with” and in Alpha Kappa Psi, we realize the uniquely rich and admirable qualities in each one of our members, and consequently, our brothers genuinely respect and love being around each other.

Each semester, we work hard to organize the events that have now been ingrained as AKPsi tradition as well as an array of new events, allowing new and old brothers to come together, socialize and enjoy each other’s energy and company. From our traditional events which span from the big-little reveal to the anticipated brotherhood retreat, all the way to our newer events of canoeing, paint balling, and trivia nights, there are always an opportunities for brothers to get together on the weekends and form the college memories that they will unquestionably hold closest to their hearts. It is this strong brotherhood and culture that makes our brothers think back to their time in Alpha Kappa Psi when fondly reminiscing on their college years, knowing that even though the time was fleeting, the bonds and memories shared will last a lifetime.
