PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

We communicate externally with companies to organize corporate visits, speakers, dinners, and networking events for our brothers. We also work internally within the chapter to educate each semester’s newest pledge class on professional etiquette.

Our responsibilities include budgeting for the chapter’s expenses, seeking funding from sponsors both within and outside of the Miami community, and executing on all financing actions.

We are responsible for taking on the smaller fundraisers (Phi Delt Gates, etc.). This includes planning, getting people to sign up, and participating in the fundraiser.

We are tasked with managing a fund of money donated by an alumnus. We cover many basic investment terms along with formulating and delivering stock pitches. We also give weekly market updates and discuss how to use the Bloomberg Terminals. This committee is great for anyone with any level of knowledge about investments!
